I am totally blind also and I use voice over all the time. I totally scrapped 
windows, and I'm not sorry. In my case, I don't need to use programs she would 
have to use Windows. I guess it just depends on what your wife wants to do with 
her computer as to whether or not she could just use her Mac or whether she 
would need to add windows to it.
