The AT&T guy knows as much as you do about the new up coming iPhone. The 4 is a good device, the 4S is a little better, and it is a safe bet the new unreleased iPhone will have more power and a few new bells and wistles.
The only people who know what the iPhone will or won't have, wouldn't be risking there job by talking about it. If possible, just wait until the 12th, then you can make the best informed disision when all the facts are announced.
