Hi Dan,

You can find a number of system AppleScripts in the /Library/Scripts
folder. Use the Command-Shift-G "go to folder" shortcut in Finder,
then type or paste in:
/Library/Scripts
Into the dialog box and press return. Note the slash character before
"Library" that indicates this is a system level folder, and not one
under your user account. That's slash, "Library", slash, "Scripts".
On older versions of the operating system (e.g., Leopard and Tiger),
there were more examples under the AppleScript Editor. In fact, a
quick way to find the above examples is to launch the AppleScript
Editor (Command-Shift-U in Finder to move to the Utilities folder,
quickly press "a p" to move to the AppleScript Editor, then use
Command-Down arrow to open it.). Once you've opened the AppleScript
editor, simply go to the help menu on the menu bar and arrow down.
There are options for "Show AppleScript Language Guide" and "Open
Example Scripts Folder". If you just want to go to the example scripts
without reading any of the other options, use either Control-F2 or VO-
M to move to the menu bar in AppleScrript Editor, Left arrow to
"Help"' arrow down into the menu, then press Command-Down arrow to
move to the last menu entry, which will be for opening the example
scripts folder, and press return to go there in Finder.

By the way, your "From:" name on this list now shows up as a hyphen. I
had a hard time finding this post to reply to it, since I've been
travelling and went "no mail", and read this on the web when I didn't
have time to reply. I only recognized you from your "XB" signature.
You might want to edit your Google Group account settings and change
your "nickname" from the hyphen character if this setting wasn't
deliberate.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
