This came straight out of the headset jack, and I forgot about that trick of holding the little pin thing in when you hit record. I just wanted to see if my MBP's line-in jack was taking stereo input, which it is. What I want now is a mixer/preamp that works for mics, so I can stop using my guitar amp as a mic amp; it doesn't work that well. However, the upshot to it is that I can now make my voice sound funky with the effects from the MicroCube. Anyway, this is getting off topic; sorry.
