Hi Egbert,

Bookle can only be used to read DRM-free ePub books. If you purchased
Lee Child's newest novel from iBooks, there is currently no way to
read any iBooks which are encoded with Apple's FairPlay 2 digital
rights management on a Mac -- whether you're using VoiceOver or not.
If you purchased this novel from some source that uses Adobe's ADE
(Adobe Digital Editions) DRM -- such as from Kobo Books -- and want to
read this on the Mac instead of with the Kobo app on your iOS device,
then you can do this using Adobe Digital Editions Preview, which you
can download from:
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/digitaleditions1-8/
I'm just guessing that as a recent best-seller your ebook has some
kind of DRM, whether it's FairPlay 2 from iBooks, or the more
widespread ADE DRM from Adobe. Bookle will not be able to let you (or
any sighted reader) read that book if it has DRM.

In response to a later question from Alex, Bookle is available from
the Mac App Store:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bookle/id496158508?mt=12

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
