Hi all, I just made yet another discovery that most of you likely already know. As usual, I'm sharing it on the off-chance that someone else does not yet know it and will find it helpful.
In Finder, press space on a file to launch it in Quicklook. For music files, the music plays with basic controls; for other files, well, I have yet to test them. Pressing space again dismisses Quicklook and returns you to your Finder window. This is great if, like me, you manage your music in finder instead of a media player's library and are just looking through your collection, listening to what you have as you find files you want to hear. Quicklook is, well, quick, so load times rival media players (particularly iTunes), making this a very convenient option. There, now you know.
