what they don't know won't hurt them.

That's ridiculous! VM or not, Bootcamp or not, you're not trying to
support the O S, or the hardware, you're supporting your screen

What more reason I won't touch jfw with a 5000 foot poll. For me,
it's either Window-Eyes, prefered, or NVDA, and even then, I'd rather
not use Windows period, but I kind a got no choice with my job in place.

Hi,
True. But, for what ever reason, that is the line they want to take.
But I agree, I wouldn't even mention I'm running it on Mac hardware
or, that I'm using a VM.

i run Windows 7 with VMWare Fusion on my Mac, and JAWS works fine.
Why would FS´s official line be that they do not support it, since it
is still on Windows? Why should the hardware matter to them? It
should only be a software issue to them. I called them the other day
with a question and just pretended I had a PC, and, of course, they
didn't know the difference.
Thanks,
Harry

I think the thing to keep in mind is that FS says they will not
support Jaws running on a Mac. I'm running VIsta on my Mac. I don't
think you'll have any problem running win7, but who knows.

Skirting towards off-topic here, but I just got off the phone with
FreedomScientific sales and was told that JAWS doesn't work with
Mac. Did I get one of their famously clueless reps, or will I have a
problem running Jaws 12 64-bit on a bootcamp installation of windows
7 64-bit home premium?
If so, what screen reader works well with bootcamped versions of
windows7 home premium?
Finally, will someone who has done the bootcamp thing PLEASE tell me
if I'll need a wired mouse for the windows install? I have a wired
apple keyboard, and a wireless trackpad but no mouse, neither wired
or wireless, but I'll get one if needed.
thanks
