You would be way way better using Mars Edit on the Mac. It's a bit pricy, yeah, I'll givwe ya that, but man oh man! is it worth it! And the developer is totally! aware of Voiceover accessibility and has directly stated that he is commited to do whatever it takes to keep the product 100% accessible.
This app would let you edit your blog with Mars Edit. As for plugins, I think that depends on which ones you use, but generally, yes. They should work fine.
