It's western digital my book live 6TB. And I just plugged and played, never
had to configure it. I have always ran windows in fusion, and since the mac
saw it, windows could see it. That was when I was using a Linksys EA4500,
but now that I switched to the time capsule, it trys to connect, but gives
the arror message I posted in my previous message. The way I am trying to
connect is, I go to network, find it in the table, it says connect as, but
never gives me the blank edit fields to enter in the log in info. When I
got it, all I had to do was give it a user name and password, update the
firmware, and I was good to go.

Subject: Re: network attached storage and time capsule/airport utility?

what make of NAS and model do you have? When you configured it, assuming it
is already configured, did you enable CIFS and / or AFP depending on wheher
or not you're connecting to it from a Mac or PC.

When you say that you cannot connect to it, how are you trying to connect to
it?

letting it connect, says it has been removed or no longer exists. Even
though it is plugged in to 1 of the 3 Ethernet ports on the back of the time
capsule. How do I tell the mac and time capsule to let the NAS be seen and
connected? I know these extra ports aren't just for macs, pc's, and other
gaming consuls. Any suggestions are welcomed please!
