Hi Mike, Usually, if I want to skip through a very long file in large increments, I stop playback, use the right arrow to move to where I want to be, then press Shift-Space to hear where I am. The amount you move with each press of the arrow is dependent on the zoom setting, which seems to be adjusted according to the length of the file you open. I normally set mine to 100%, find the spot closest to where I want to start editing, then decrease the value to move by smaller amounts until I find the exact place to perform edits. Hope this helps.
