Hello, I want to use a backup drive connected to one of my Mac mini mid 2010 via usb as a shared drive for the other Mac for it's time machine. I connected the two computers with an ethernet cable, not via a router but directly. I set the drive up successfully for the second computer but the backup is very slow. For z212 gigs it said it will take 12 days. Is this normal? What is the best way to create a wired network for this?
