Hi all, I'm still helping my friend with the new iMac. Last week we worked on moving downloaded and unzipped Bard books to an NLS cartridge. Unfortunately, Finder didn't cooperate, sometimes changing its view mode so that keystrokes I was trying to teach him no longer worked. The problem came in getting from the downloads folder, where the books are, to the cartridge's root. Personally I just hit cmd-shift-g, type in /volumes, and go on my way, but I was hoping for a simpler system to teach. So, is there a way to lock everything into whatever view lets us left arrow to volumes and then down arrow to the cartridge? Failing that, is there a way I could hack together a script, to be triggered with a keystroke, which would do the copying automatically? Thanks.
