Some say that per-bit you get higher quality out of AAC, but when the
mp3 is twice as many bits it would be hard to imagine the AAC stuff
sounding better. That and mp3 is just more universally supported.

Subject: 128kb aac or 256kb mp3, which is higher quality?
I have a subscription to sky.fm premium and decided to import some of their
stations into itunes. They offer 128kb aac and 256kb mp3 as the highest
quality feeds. I'm not familiar with 128kb aac. Does anybody have a thought
on which of these formats is highest quality?
