Hello Harry, I like to do the Guardian cryptic crossword. There is also a quick crossword available. They are available Monday through Friday. The Saturday cryptic crossword has to be paid for as it is a prize crossword.
The link below takes you to the page where you choose which crossword you want. <http://www.guardian.co.uk/crosswords> On this page, I go to heading level 2 Latest Cryptic crossword and click on Standard Version. On the next page, set navigation to Groups as it works better for crosswords and go to heading level 4, Across. Below this is a table of the across clues, each with its number and the number of letters in the solution. To jump to the grid, interact with the clue, bring the mouse and press VO-Space. You navigate the grid just using the arrow keys. The Down clues are under another level 4 heading which is to the right of the Across clues. I set a hotspot on the second element of the clue, the text, so that I can use the VO-Cmd-number to read the clue again while I'm exploring the grid to see whether I already have letters for that clue, It also helps for jumping back to the table of clues. I reuse the same hotspot all the way through the crossword. To the left of the level 4 headings is a toolbar containing the buttons Save, Revert to saved, Clear, Check, Check all, Anagram, Cheat, and Solution. All these functions are accessible. When entering a solution, just type and the letters will go into the correct squares. I'm sure there must be other accessible online crosswords, but the Guardian has been my favourite crossword for decades and I was delighted when I found its online version to be accessible.
