Regions is a way of editing non-destructively. You can select a part of a sound 
and then make it into a region. In the pc-version you can then put the regions 
into a play/cut list where you can decide to play or skip them, you can reorder 
them and even loop them. That's not yet possible on the mac, and you have to 
reach the actual graphic that depicts the region in order to pull up the menu 
for the region. Not good but there it is.
