I don't know much about accessibility on the mac except to say in Mountain Lion it is possible to add one or more Twitter accounts and use the Notification Centre found in the Extras menu to post a tweet as well as receive notifications similar to what you would receive with the official Twitter app for iOs. Finally there is a very good, free and fully accessible Twitter client for the mac called Nightowl or Yorufukuru. The interface may remind you of The Qube or Qwitter for Windows. You can find this on the Mac App store.
