One thing you might try if you have speech, if not, connect a USB head set if you have one and use narrator, windows has built in drivers for that. Turn off the user account control feature, I've seen that cause more weird issues than I can count.

Hi Mike and all.
THank you for the wealth of information.
I have a copy of windows 7 32 and 64 bit opporating systems.
The weirdest part is when i'm finished installing windows and it comes to installing the bootcamp driver disk, i got to setup and the installer says it can not continue. I remember with my old laptop from 2011, i could install bootcamps drivers just fine. Does anybody have any further ideas? i'm fairly sure that it isn't a windows disk issue.
Also, when i look at the windows partition it isn't labeled boot camp.
Does this cause any problems?
I realize i can use vmware fusion but i need the extra ram and processing power for programs for development.
THank you and i'm so sorry for the long email.

Depending on which mac you have, 64 bit windows should work. This may require that the mac use 64 bit firmware, which most recent ones do. Depending on what you're doing though, there may not be any advantage to running 64 bit windows, and in some ways it's more complicated, for example there are 2 program files folders.

Hi all.
So, i followed Chris's instructions for installing windows under bootcamp. It worked wonderfully.
I have a question, does windows 7 or 8 not work under 64 bit?
I cant get it to work at all.
Any help would be appreciated, does anybody run windows 64 bit on the list.
