Hey there everyone,
I just spoke to a Marcus Jonathan at apple Tech Support. I was trying
to import audio files which are loops in to Garage Band on an Ipad 2. I
have some specific instructions from Marcus that worked. Here they are:
1. Open Itunes.
2. As a blind user ensure that if working in Windows that your side bar
is on.
3. Go to devices where it says your ipad name and status of the battery
charge.
4. Tab till you come to the Apps radio button and check it.
5. Then tab over till you hear File Sharing.
6. Then you'll tab over one more time and use Shift Page Down but be
careful because your looking for a tree view that shows Garage Band the
word in it.
7. Now if you tab over from the tree view that shows Garage Band you
will see the Add button which imports your loops for Garage band. You
can use a Control Plus A to select all the loops you want to import and
they will import at one time. Be mindful to do one folder at a time though
8. In the Windows version it doesn't actually keep track or tell you
really how many files have been imported so I suggest waiting a bit
before moving on.
9. Once all the loops have been added then you just need to tab over to
the Sync button to sync the IPad and you should be set.
It took us quite a while to figure this out so I hope this helps anyone
struggling with the same problem. Thanks to Marcus and Apple once again
for their great support.
