It's been ages since I did this but back in the day I had to use
something like Toast to make these. You could also mix in Mac or
Windows-only files as well. This was done so that a Mac could only find
the Mac app and Windows could only find the Windows app yet they both
shared all the other media files. Some discussion on this here:

which they call a multi-session CD or enhanced CD where the audio tracks
are first and the second 'session' is the data stuff.
