Open contacts, then go to file, new, new group. Give it a name, and you'll be in the groups table. Arrow up to "all contacts", and find the contact you want in your group in the contacts table (optionally using the search field). Hit cmd-c on the contact, then go back to the groups table, move to the group you want, and, right on the group name, cmd-v. Repeat the process for all the contacts you want. I haven't tried this one, but I imagine multiple selections will also work just fine.
