Thanks for that, Alex. I guess it's good to know both options.

For clarification, I don't need to root the mouse pointer to the VoiceOver 
curser with VO-CMD-F5, as I have the mouse pointer set to follow the VoiceOver 
curser in VoiceOver Utility. I use VO-F5, however, to check what is under the 
mouse pointer. therefore, if things haven't worked as they should, and the 
mouse pointer is miles away from where it should be, or something is in the way 
of what I want to click on, then I can root the mouse pointer to the VoiceOver 
curser. If, however, I hear that the item I want to click on is under the mouse 
pointer, then there's no need for me to root the mouse pointer to the VoiceOver 
curser.
