Go to the vo utility and select speech from the table, then the voices tab. Move to the default voice popup button and hit space on it to open up the mnu of options. To get more voices, press space on the last item, "customize", then use the checkboxes in the table that appears to select the voices you want to download. Once they are installed, which may take a while depending on how many you wanted, go back to the vo utility and choose the voice you want. You can also quickly move through the available voices anywhere in OS10 by holding down the vo and command keys, then hitting left/right arrows to get to "voice", then up/down to choose one. There are other speech attributes in there that you can quickly change. Simply release the modifier keys when you are done, no need to press enter or anything since no dialog ever came up.
