Different concepts the dictation feature on the Mac is much closer to the dictation feature on the I O S devices it is for dictating short text into any edit field mostly within the email, message and text editor programs. I am certain others on the list can explain better, but for the most part I have only used it for short text messages, as I do on the iPohne.
