well, could it be that your username is already saved and that's why it's dimmed? I do know for certain that when I changed navigation from dom to groupings that the box became undimmed; I even typed a username in it and I did it more than once. So either your username is already saved or there is another thing in your settings that is different than mine or - well, or something else that remains a mystery!
