When you buy the book, assuming you have the kindle for Mac app set up on your Mac, which as I recall also required sighted assistance, then right after the buy button on Amazon, you should have a pop up that says send to x where x is the name of the device or application where Amazon will send the book. If you own a Kindle, then it will be the default. But you can open the pop up and select kindle for Mac. Then when you click the buy button, the book will be sent to the Mac application by default, and not to your Kindle by default. You have to do this every time you buy a book. Or at least, I have not found a means of making the change permanent.
