Hello Yuma,

Just to add to Anne's comments, Control-Click should always work, while the
software emulation of VO-Shift-m sometimes may not. The only issue you might
run into with Control-Click is if your mouse cursor is not focused in the
correct location. For example, I can point you to some examples of web pages
where the designers have misused the HTML coding to arrange the visual
placement of links. (When you query the size of the VoiceOver cursor, it takes
up a quarter or a third of the width of the web page, even though it's meant to
focus on one or two words, so apart from failing tests of being properly coded,
using VoiceOver to move to the link and Control-Click or VO-Shift-m doesn't
work because you're nowhere near the actual link.)

Similarly, clicking with the trackpad or mouse should always work for "click",
while occasionally emulated clicks with VO-Shift-space do not. Using the mouse
keys equivalent (where you click by pressing the "5" on the numeric keypad or
the "i" key on the embedded numeric keypad position for a laptop) should also
always work as a click. (Of course, turning mouse keys on is a solution for
difficulties in using the keyboard or trackpad, and is separate from your
VoiceOver options.)

HTH. Cheers,
Esther
