Hi,

AirDrop is used to share items between Macs either within the same network or
just close by. So, if you were sitting on the beach, no WIFI anywhere nearby,
and were close by your friend who was smart enough to also own a Mac, you could
share files between each other using AirDrop.

Yes, it is perfectly accessible. If you wish to send your file to someone
nearby, have them select AirDrop from the Sidebar, then locate the file/folder
you wish to share with them, press VO-shift-m to bring up the Contextual menu,
choose Share, then choose AirDrop from the sub-menu. A new window will appear
letting you choose the computer that has AirDrop ready. Select that computer
then press on the Send button. The user at the other computer has to accept
the file then it begins the copy. Files are placed in your Downloads folder
for you to retrieve when the copy is finished.

HTH.

Later...
