Sometimes it just takes a while. It will often say it's going to take hours then you seem to go through a Star Trek Time Warp and all of a sudden it's only going to take 40 minutes. I believe that it just has something to do with the number and size of files it's moving across. typically, one file of a GB will copy quicker than 50 files adding up to a GB.
