Hi,

Pages is what I thought of first as well.  The issue though is when on the 
iPad, I don't believe that you are able to save it in Word format.  You'd need 
to have the Mac version as well in order to open the document originally 
created on the iPad then convert it to Word from there.  I couldn't find any 
way of saving the document in Word format from the iOS version.  That doesn't 
mean it's not possible, I just couldn't find a way after a quick look in the 
app.  One other option could be to use the Google Drive app.  Documents created 
within Google Docs are easily downloaded into a Word compatible format.  Google 
Drive in iOS is very accessible and this allows for anytime/anywhere access to 
the documents on Mac, Windows and iOS.
