Hi,

Yes, if they've come to your Mac via PhotoStream, which, I consider the most 
efficient way but do see some drawbacks, it's fairly difficult to rename via 
the Finder.  I'll play some more when I have a minute and let you know if I 
figure any easier ways to do it in iPhoto.
