OK, Now, I'm really! wonderring! I just made a discovery. The reason that
it's not saying and, but is saying
ampersand as described in my last post is because that entry got removed
from the rponunciations tab under vo utility/speech. What's strange though
is everything! including the stuff Apple puts in there by default got
deleted. I can't export all settings from the mini in the utility, as that
doesn't seem to be including the pronunciation rules for some reason, and
when I got in the export dialog to the export drop down, once I open that
pop up, and select pronunciation, the vo utility crashes consistently every
time. I'm getting that crash on my macbook, and on my mini both in Mountain
Lion 10.8.3. I dono when this bug popped it's head in the door. I managed
to save only pronunciation rules from an old Snow Leopard partition I have,
but I"m not sure if taht's gonna work between 10.6 and 10.8 being there is
such a jump in O S versions. I'm gonna try it though. I got nothing to
lose. I just wonder though in the first place what the heck caused this!
