Hi,

I'm thinking that he may just be a little confused. I've never noticed
anything of the sort within the iCloud pane of System Prefs nor do I remember
anything like that in previous versions of the pane. Normally, when you enable
the Find My Mac component of iCloud, it will ask you if you will allow the
Location Service to keep track of your Mac and you should click the "Allow"
button. By default, many Macs upon initial setup are set to the Pacific Time
Zone so it is a good idea to go within the Date & Time pane of System Prefs,
under the Time Zone tab and enter a major city close to you within your
specific Time Zone. The Mac will automatically adjust your time and Time Zone
info when the new city is entered.

Later...
