Yes, I love that trick. I usually use ctrl-shift, since mac apps rarely use 
control for anything, and more rarely still do they use control and shift. I 
shy away from just control because it has a lot of uses in text documents 
(ctrl-t to transpose, ctrl-d, ctrl-a, and more). I know iTunes has no documents 
as such, but I like to organize my commands so that any custom ones will have 
the same modifiers if I can help it. Also, if you want to add a command in a 
submenu (as often happens in the Type2Phone app), separate the menu names with 
-> (dash greater than) and no spaces. I think it is just greater than in 10.6 
and earlier, if I remember the forum post I found correctly.
