This is the reason I don't use Alex as my main voice, the keyboard lag drove me 
crazy.  It is a tiny feature of my old window-eyes that I miss.  You could 
change the speed for typing, mouse, screen, etc.

My only suggestions are, switch to Samantha compact, or change the keyboard 
echo.  Maybe try only having words echoed.
