That is the message I got when I attempted to open iTunes just now. This was following my download of the latest iTunes yesterday. The message says this library.idl file can't be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes, and would I like to download iTunes. Unfortunately, there is no newer version available, according to software update, so I'm stuck without my iTunes library. Has anybody else had this happen, and what can I do about it?
