Hi all, this is more related to i-devices than to the Mac, but I wanted to post, because I recall that some listers have expressed interest in it.
My husband and I just got a Nest thermostat. It's very cool in many ways, has lots of smart programmable features, and can be controlled either by your computer, or by their mobile app. Unfortunately, right now, the iOS app leaves a lot to be desired where accessibility is concerned. I contacted their tech support, and was told that the best way to make a suggestion to the developers is to post on their blog, which I did this afternoon. I just want to suggest that anyone who has an interest in this thermostat, or in accessible thermostats in general, might want to add their comments to my post. Nest seems like a really good, consumer-oriented company, but as we all know, the more frequently accessibility is raised to developers, the more likely they are to want to do something about it. You have to create an account to post on the blog, but all you need to do that is an email and password, so it's very easy to sign up. I titled my blog post something very straight-forward, like "accessibility of the Mobile app", or something like that, and it's under the section "Help with Nest." So anyway, if you're so inclined, you might add your voice to the call for accessibility.
