A couple of them, David and William, didn't sound too bad, at least with
their web demo thingy. And it looks like you can download trials or
something. But I personally wouldn't want to use any of the female
voices. I might grab a trial for the mac if they do them, because my
sued macbook can only run 10.6.8, and Alex isn't really the greatest
voice. Unless anybody wants to recommend a more stable alternative?

version 6 of their voices. At first I thought they were only released for
Windows but good news, they're also available for the Mac. Unfortunately, for
users that have bought version 5 like myself, they want you to pay for the
upgrade. I'm fine with that but I think they should give us the upgrade for
free because we haven't been able to use the voices with Voiceover for years.
Another piece of good news is that I've used both Alison and Dallas with
Voiceover and it appears that the crash bug has finally been fixed. Anyway,
