Hi,

Hmmm.  I was assuming that you were in the Info window while in iTunes.  I'm 
guessing now that you were simply in the Info window while in the Finder.  Yes, 
that Info window only gives basic information including sample rate but not the 
Bit Rate.  When in iTunes, this info is readily available.
