Are you syncing the notes with iCloud or Gmail? It sounds like you are using the latter, and if that's the case I will not be of much help, but if you are using iCloud, check your settings. On the iOS devices, go to settings, then iCloud, and make sure Notes is set to sync. On the Mac, go to system preferences, then iCloud, find the services table, and be sure Notes is checked.
