The iOS platform does not expose a folder structure. Instead, every app stores
documents, and you must use "share" or "open in" buttons, if the app provides
them, to move files around. So, open the Dropbox app and you will see all your
folders and files. To open, say, a Word file in Pages, you'd find that file in
the Dropbox app and double tap it. Once it loads, you will see an export button
in the lower right of the screen. Double tap that and you are given a list of
all the apps on your phone that say they can support Word files; pick Pages
from that list and the file is copied to the Pages app. The word "copied" is
important there: modifying that file in Pages will not affect Dropbox's version
at all - you'd have to use Pages to put the copy back into Dropbox if you
wanted to then use that file somewhere else. The flip side is putting files
into Dropbox. Many apps will not let you do this (for instance, you cannot save
a Safari download to Dropbox). The ones that do, though, will have you go
through the same process: hit the "open in" button, choose Dropbox, and there
you go. Again, though, not all apps support this feature, and there is no way
to get at the underlying file structure to move things around - iOS is simply
not built that way.
