I have heard that a product named after President Grant (starting with a U) is quite good. Tidbits.com reviewed it about 6 months ago. I sent a message to the author and he said it appeared the program would work with VoiceOver. I did not pursue it further as my work got busier.
BTW todays tidbits.com issue included a write up by a visually impaired person who uses Mark Down for writing all his blog entries.
