Hello All, I've just purchased a Seagate Central HD. Thinking I'd be able to read up on how to get started with it.
I can see where the power cord goes and the ethernet cable goes. But before I plug it in, I want to understand how to configure it for time machine. The guy in the shop said I don't need to worry about formatting it. As it is supposed to work transparently. I thought that time machine is a stickler for it's format. Furthermore, I have enough capacity for both my Mac Mini and my MacBook. So I think I'll need to partition the drive. Anyone have any experiences of these drives and can I partition it from disk utility? It seams that the Seagate site have getting started videos but I can't get them to play. Any help and suggestions? Thanks. Gena Please Note: Please use email address below for all future correspondence: [email protected] Georgina Joyce Applied Psychologist Training and Coaching.
