To paste text without carrying along the formatting do a command-option-shift-v. Then the text will be pasted but inherit the formatting already set at the location you are pasting it. This same command works in lots of apps, not just keynote.

Hello all:
I just wanted to know how can I get a good size of characters in Keynote, so the slide is correct visually speaking. How can I change this size? In the inspector I see the size too big, and when I paste the content of the slide from Textedit, it becomes too small.
Can you suggest a get around this please? I will appreciate it very much.
