That should work fine, I also don't use snap shots, just back up the file on another hard drive.

Now that my Win7 VM is working great, I want to protect it. I know there are snapshots that I can take on a scheduled basis, but I don't like that option and I understand that snapshots aren't really backups anyway. Currently, I have the MAC HD setup to take four weeks worth of backups via SuperDuper. So, I can reach back a full month, at one week intervals, and retrieve any file (VM included). I'm thinking that's sufficient to protect myself against catastrophic failures.
Anybody else got a backup plan that works well for them?
