I went and bought it this morning before I left to go to work. I used
iCloud to sync up with all my subs from the iOS version. Since there
were so many episodes to fetch and all, the app kept going into a
perpetual busy mode and would stop responding. I had to force quit
about 3 times before it all got straitened out. I don't think I will
have any further problems in this area since the volume being
transferred should be lots less. After the several forced quits, I had
several broken downloads which I tried to run in multiples; that
caused program to crash and I was able to send a report to Apple and
the developer.

After all that, I did get stuff to listen to and navigate the table
lists. All looks great. I think the main screen is rather busy with
controls to jump around. Perhaps a couple scroll areas might help
consolidate some fcontrols and allow for a layer of interaction. I
know, some people hate interacting but here is where getting around
the screen could be sped up significantly.

One thing that does bother me a bit and I don't think it is Downcast's
fault, when you speed up a program, the audio quality degrades
considerably. I don't notice this hardly at all on the iPad so not
sure if it is a Mac thing or if the developer of Downcast can do
anything about or not.

It looks like a fun app to work with and I love that he as assigned
shortcut keys to about everything in the app.

I've only found one unlabeled button so far and I plan to tell the dev
about it. It seems to be the button used to close temperary opened
views like the expanded list of podcast episodes and show info.
