I'm working with a developer to make a product accessible and we were testing a standard search widget. I can access all the usual stuff but apparently there is a dropdown menu in these widgets where you can select options like ignore case or wrap around. No matter what I tried I could not get to the drop down menu and he claimed that it's a bug in OSX. So we pulled up Text Edit which has the same search widget and I couldn't access the drop down menu there either. Is there some secret way to get access to it? In TextEdit you can hit command-F for find, type something in and interact with the widget to locate the text you typed, the clear/cancel button and then a number showing how many instances of what you typed show up. What I can't reach is the drop-down control which is to the left of the text. I can't reasonably ask him to fix it if the control itself is broken from Apple. Any hints or tips?
