My first thought is to just do a search (vo-f) for two spaces. I suppose you could make, or ask someone to make, an Applescript to do the job, if Mars Edit can be scripted, but it seems far easier to simply become more comfortable with mac commands so the extra spaces don't appear in the first place. If you describe the procedure you use for copying, pasting, and all that, perhaps we can figure out how the extra spaces are getting in there.
