I found a way to do at least the DRM stripping that doesn't cost anything.

Download the latest tools file (under the "The Tools" heading at level 3) and 
unzip the resulting file. Go into the Mac application folder and copy out the 
.app file as usual (I also highly recommend reading the readme file in that 
folder). Install the Kindle app on your Mac, get sighted help signing in and 
downloading all your books, then just open the Dedrm.app file, configure the 
settings per the readme, choose your book, and off you go. This won't do any 
conversion, and I'm still searching for a way to convert the decrypted .azw 
file to .epub, but it's a start. Plus, it is free and accessible, though I did 
find I had to vo-arrow in the file selection dialog, I could not just arrow 
like normal.
