I know there is a way to do this, but I'm drawing a blank. When on the desktop, how can I unselect the currently selected item without selecting a new one. For example, I have an alias that I want to move from the folder where I creadet it to the desktop, but I don't want to paste it on top of an existing item, but rather, on to a blank space on my desktop.
