Hey everyone. Ok, for those who were having the issue with youtube videos being muted in the browser, turns out it was an issue with youtube. Unfortunately, we will not be able to change the volume slider, so, you need to completely remove the flash player from your system and reinstall it. To do this, run the uninstaller that is in your utilities folder. Once that is done, restart your mac. Now open the hard drive and go in to the library folder, then go to internet plug ins. There was nothing still there related to flash, but if there is on your system, delete it. Now go in to your own folder and open the library folder within it. If you don't see this folder, press command shift g and type ~/library then press enter. Go to the caches folder and delete anything related to macromedia flash or Adobe flash. Once that's done, go back to your home folder and open preferences and do the same thing. At this point, flash should be completely removed from your system. You can now download the newest version from adobe's web site and install it. For me, this has everything working again.
